For our legal notice please see here.

  • What does remapping a car do?

Remapping, at times called ECU tuning, is the point at which the settings of a 'engine control module' (ECU) is changed to work on a few region of the vehicle's presentation. By overwriting the current settings with new programming, the proprietor can re-program the vehicle to deal with the fuel infusion, airflow, sensors and that's just the beginning (inside lawful restrictions). Thus you can make the car push more performance, smoother gear changes and even more economical!

Likewise put in good fuel and you will get great results.

  • Can I go stage 2 without any hardware modifications?

Sadly not , because of the motor expecting to stream more air and fuel it would not be protected to push the motor harder with out the significant redesigns, there is numerous distinctions that 'appear to be identical' for example Audi S3 and RS model both have a similar running stuff however a RS stage 1 will be a lot quicker than a S3 stage 1 and this is principally down the minor distinctions between the two for example super and injectors, in this manner the motor is skilled yet the parts around it need changing to profit from the stage 2 programming.

  • Will my engine handle the extra power safely?

Indeed almost 100% of all advanced vehicles currently created are well underneath there resilience and because of large scale manufacturing and minimizing expenses producers presently utilize a couple of motor kinds across the reach, for example BMW 320/325/330 are presently each of the a 2.0t 4cylinder motor with not many contrasts basically super size and a maker remap, so at stage 1 and 2 you are simply releasing the secret exhibition protected inside the resistances of the standard motor.

  • At stage 1 will I benefit from a gearbox map?

In short no not actually and this is because of the reality close to 100% of all cutting edge DCT/DSG innovation gearboxes are progressed that they far surpass that of the manual partners. Beside this the gearboxes' own PC will investigate the power and force coming from the engine ecu and adjust to cover the additional power, a gearbox remap is just truly exhorted after stage 2 and after stage 3 it is encouraged to check out redesigning the clutch packs in the gearbox. When a stage 1 engine remap is played out the gearbox will self adjust switch gear smoother and feel more straightforward simply because of the engine update.

  • If I have a remap will I lose my driver modes?

No your driver modes like ECO, NORMAL, SPORT/DYNAMIC they are for the most part that driver settings. This are change arrangement by the producer to give you on the fly acclimation to your driving experience, for example ECO mode will possibly give 60% throttle to the engine when your foot is full down and directing gearbox will feel loose and delicate, then, at that point, in SPORT/DYNAMIC mode the choke will be around 90% when your foot is just mostly down and again the controlling and gearbox will be a lot more keen. That being said your engines ecu record stays unaffected in any mode and as such you will have more power in ECO mode the framework will simply acclimate to cause you still to feel a similar loosened up driving experience.

  • If the dealer updates my software, what do I do?
